Quality program at a great price,
I bought this program two weeks ago and the price has dropped down from $18 to $16.99 with the super saver shipping option. Some time ago I tried this product on the 15-day free trial and was completely hooked. I definitely recommend that you try that first. There are not many software companies that will allow you to use the full program completely free for that many days. After purchasing, I loaded TuneUp on three separate computers, of different brands, ages and types (1 two-year old HP desktop, 1 new Dell Laptop, and 1 older HP desktop) with no problems whatsoever. My computers are running quicker as a result. The program presents several choices for optimizing your computer speed, and if you are unsure about the effects, you can simply ignore or permanently hide the recommendations. Also, the choices are reversible. I am a fairly experienced user and really like the registry cleaner and defragger, which operate quickly with no ill effects, making the program worth it for that alone. For less experienced users, like one of my friends, the one-click maintenance is plain wonderful, very user friendly. There is also a three-day default scheduling of optimizing and maintenance that I find very useful as well.

|The best, and possibly only utility suite worth using.,
I was never into these type of utility programs, since all the ones I tried were just gussied-up registry cleaners, and you don’t need a suite for that.
I came across Tuneup Utilities and was pleasantly surprised. Its optimization recommendations are thorough, doing such things as turning off Windows indexing, decreasing dropdown menu delay, making sure some elusive browser settings are optimized (like multiple-connection support in Firefox and Explorer), detects unnecessary network settings that may compromise security, and more. It even detects frequently/infrequently used programs/processes on the fly and automatically adjusts their CPU priority level; a very nice feature. Basically it walks you through optimizing Windows to your use at a depth that would require a fair amount of time and know-how otherwise. So I wound up paying for a utility suite, which I never in a million years thought I would do.
It has some cosmetic addon feature that can change the look of your icons and menus by downloading themed modules from their site, but I never got into using it much.
Downloading the 15-day trial from their website is recommended. Those of you who feel too advanced for a utility suite may be pleasantly surprised.

It fits my needs, I purchased this item not because I am technophobe, its because there were so many of these products on the market that I had no idea which one was best. And I refuse to download programs off the internet, (Thats why I had to buy this product in the first place!!!) This disk program seems to be doing the job just fine, it cleans and speeds up your PC, and has eazy to follow instructions. It repaired the items that were bogging down the speed of my PC. I believe that the product dose not require yearly renewal charge.
